A Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London and an Associate Director of the Centre for Process Systems Engineering (CPSE), I have over 20 years of experience in process simulation and optimization technology.
My background includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering from INPL (Nancy, France), followed by several post-doctoral positions at INRIA Sophia-Antipolis, MIT, and EPFL. I was also an Assistant Professor at McMaster University prior to joining Imperial College in 2010. The overall vision is for my research to develop safe, economically and environmentally sustainable bio/chemical processes through the synergistic use of advanced computational modelling and optimisation methods and process data. This theoretical and computational work is motivated by problems encountered in process engineering applications, with a particular focus on environmental and energy systems.
